A "TESLA SHIELD" BY FOURIER SYNTHESIS The idea that a Tesla shield might be constructed by the generation of an electromagnetic antichirp is interesting, but suffers from the fundamental problem of requiring a medium in which propagation velocity is dependant on frequency. If we are to stand even the remotest chance of constructing a Tesla shield which is of any practical use, then hoping that free space is nonlinear will not suffice. The essential requirement is to arrange for an incredibly intense field to be generated at a remove from the transmitting apperatus, without a substantial field closer to the centre. If we superimpose a series of cosine waves thus: cos(x)+cos(3x)+cos(5x)+cos(7x)+cos(9x) then it will be noted that the resultant curve has an amplitude mostly of less than unity, but with peaks of 4.5, spaced at half wavelengths of the fundamental. If we could arrange matters such that the origin is at a few dozens of feet from the transmitter, such that the radiating structure lies between two of these peaks, then the desired field disposition might be achieved. Due to the fall off of field strength with distance, it may be possible to arrange that the second peak away from the transmitter be insufficiant to create the phenomenon at that point, but retain the effect at the first peak.
